An Explanation of Provider Payment (EPP) is a document that outlines the details of the payment made to the Provider for the services provided, or additional steps for payment to be made including further documentation needed for payment.
The EPP may also include a QuicRemit payment card that allows for a virtual payment option without bank information.
If you have received a virtual card for payment but would like to opt out of virtual payment:
- Visit echovcards.com to manage payments online which includes an option to enroll
for EFT with all payers (fees may apply). - Contact ECHO directly at 800- 338-1483.
How to read the EPP?
The EPP includes information such as the ADA Codes/Descriptions, claim number, patient name, date of service, and the breakdown of the charges and payment rendered. There is also a section for remark codes and their respective explanations. See attachment for an example EPP statement.
